Glass Butte Oregon

Today I took a drive to Glass Butte about seventy miles East of Bend, Oregon. On the way back I drove to the top of Pine Mountian.

Above is a great shot of the Three Sisters. The one on the far left is the one I climbed in 2007.

The old truck got a workout today. The roads were pretty steep and rough in some spots.

Went For A Drive

The nice thing about living out here is that you don't have to drive far to get to the middle of nowhere!

These were taken about 45 miles due East of Bend, Oregon near the town (if you can call it that) of Brothers.

I followed a road going North for five miles then got out and hiked around...so quiet you can hear your own heart beat.

On the way back I found this abandoned gas station.

I'm Still Alive

Well it's been a year since I last posted and man what a year! Here are the highlights:

• Got me a pickup truck!
• Got promoted to assistant resort manager!
• Became a Jets fan (go Brett)!
• Got cancer!
• Got radiated and beat cancer (for now anyway)!
• Hair growing back strange...gotta keep it buzzed!
• Gave up being a political junkie since the "Dark Prince" won.

Daily Drudge

I've gotten myself down lamenting on the daily drudge. Day in day out...work, eat, sleep....work, eat, sleep...and so on and so on. It's because of the weather mostly. Very cold in the morning, nice while I'm at work, then cold again by the time I leave the office...bummer.

I'll snap out of it I'm sure. I always do.
