I’m sorry about the absence…for those of you who follow my postings, don’t worry…everything is OK; I just got tied up with work and things.
I had a fun day yesterday. It was the SO’s birthday so she took half a day off and we played tourist. The three of us went to Sisters, Oregon and browsed the shops. Later we went out to diner. It was good to be together…kind of like a family, but it still made me a little sad. No matter how much my life has changed, and continues to change, I still get pulled back into the past. Looking through the shops I couldn’t stop thinking of my dear Kathy and how much she would’ve enjoyed just one more day shopping. I also thought about my sister (and best friend). She and I spent a lot of time together last year before I moved out here and one of our favorite pastimes was shopping ( I really miss those times).
Anyway, back to reality… I have today off so I’m gonna try to get some things done around the house, but I also want to take a little time for myself as well. Maybe I’ll just take a drive or something I don’t know, but I do need some time alone out of the house.
